Crumbed Spam

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
1 litre vegetable oil for frying
1 (375g) tin spam, cut into 6mm slices
1 cup (125g) plain flour
2 eggs, whisked
2 cups dried breadcrumbs

Method
1.Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 180C.
2.Place the meat slices into the flour to coat, cover with flour and shake off the excess.
3.Dip into the whisked egg then press into the breadcrumbs. Shake off any excess.
4.Place the crumbed Spam onto a plate while cooking the rest, do not stack.
5.Put Spam in the oil a few slices at time and cook until golden brown, roughly about 4 minutes. Place on a plate lined with paper towel.
