Is the website free?
Yes, the website is 100% free. However, on the website, we do sell our budgeting book, which costs money.

Do I have to sign up to join in on what the website has to offer?
No not at all. It's all FREE.

Does the website and the book only cover Australian events?
The website and the book were designed for an Australian audience. However, we have found that it is relevant to all people, not just in Australia but around the world. There might be some terms that only Australians understand, but it would not take a rocket scientist to figure out what they mean.

What information will I need to provide in order to sign up?
Only your first name, last name and email address are needed.

I have a saving tip, cheap recipe, media story or other bit of knowledge I would like you to look at. Can I send it in?
Of course! We are happy to hear from you about anything. We read all emails and try to reply to as many as we can.

Are you guys financial advisors?
No, we are not trained financial advisors. We talk about budgeting and saving money from a non-technical point of view using good, solid advice. For tax advice and superannuation advice, talk to a trained accountant or financial advisor.

Can you help me declare bankruptcy?
No, this is not our field. However, we hope that we can help you with our saving tips, methods for getting out of debt, and ways to avoid bankruptcy.

Why is this book not offered in book stores?
Renee and I were offered a contract with a New York Stock Exchange-listed publishing company to publish the book in Australian bookstores. However, they wanted to change a lot of the content. We felt that they were trying to cut the book in half and sell two different books. Not wanting to change the book, we decided to publish the book ourselves.

Who wrote the book?
My name is Adam Goulding (also known as Mr Home Budget). The book was also written with help from my wife, Renee Goulding (also known as the Thrift Chick).

How did you get the name Mr Home Budget?
On Jan 1^st, 2007, I started keeping all my receipts. I did this in order to start my own home budget and to track my spending. One day, at a BBQ, a friend found out about this and started calling me Mr Home Budget. The name has stuck with me ever since.

Is the book only for people in debt?
No, of course not. People who have no debt and are doing well financially have purchased the book. They get to improve their situation and learn some information. There is information in the book that will save you thousands of dollars whether you’re in debt or not.

How long is the book?
The book is 18 chapters long, with 95,151 words, give or take one or two.

What is the cost of the book?
The cost of the book is $27.95 Australian Dollars, including GST, delivered to your door via Australia Post.

How can I pay for the book?
You can pay online using a credit card (Amex, Visa or MasterCard) with our 128-bit secure credit card program. You can also pay via fax, with a credit card. Or you can pay using a cheque or money order via postage. We offer eBay and PayPal options as well.

How long does it take to get the book?
On weekdays, we can send it within 24 hours. Australia Post usually takes between 1 and 3 days, unless you pay by cheque. In that case, we wait for the cheque to clear. This adds an additional 2 to 3 days.

Can I buy the book as a present for a family member of friend?
Yes, of course. We can send the book directly to you or straight to them. Just give us the correct email address of the person to whom you would like us to send the newsletter.

Is there a return policy?
Yes. If you don’t agree this book is worth at least 101 times your investment, just return it for a full refund, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. This is a no-risk, iron-clad, money-back guarantee.

Plus, you’re not going to be given only 35 days to make up your mind. You’re not going to be given 77 days to make up your mind. You're not going to be given 147 days to make up your mind.
