Self-Saucing Chocolate Pudding

 

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 50 minutes

 

Ingredients
Pudding
1 cup self raising flour
1/2 tspn salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tblspns cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 tspn vanilla essence
2 tblspns butter, melted

Sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/4 cups boiling water

 

Method
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. To make the pudding sift dry ingredients in a bowl.
3. Slowly stir in milk, vanilla and melted butter. Make sure there are no lumps then pour it into an ovenproof dish.
4. To make the sauce mix all the ingredients together. Gently pour the sauce over the pudding mixture.
5. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes until pudding has risen and is firm to touch.
