Warning, warning, warning. If you don’t know about this fee, please educate yourself. Did you know just by using your credit card you might be charged a processing fee of 2% of the total transaction? Retailers are legally allowed to charge you this fee if they warn you prior to your purchase. This fee alone should be enough to make you run and hide from credit cards.

However, Qantas are pushing the limits. They have introduced a $7.70 fee for whipping out the plastic on each domestic ticket purchased and $25 on each overseas ticket. Choice magazine has done an excellent article.
