Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 tblspns oil
2 medium onions, chopped into chunks
600g chuck steak, diced
3 medium carrots, peeled & chopped into chunks
1 cup beef stock
1 tblspn Worcestershire sauce
2 tblspns tomato paste
2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped into chunks
Method
1.In a large saucepan add oil and onions, cook until soft.
2.Add meat and brown slightly.
3.Place onion and meat in slow cooker on low.
4.Add all other ingredients, stir.
5.Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours. About 20 minutes before serving, check to see if the gravy needs thickening. If so, thicken slightly with 2 tablespoons of cornflour, mixed to a thin paste with water.
