Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
350g apples
250g onions
2 ¼ kg tomatoes
1 ¾ cups white vinegar
¼ level tspn cayenne pepper
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 level tblspns salt
1 level tspn white pepper
1 level tspn ground cloves
1 level tspn allspice
2 cups sugar
Method
1.Core the apples but don’t peel them.
2.Roughly cut up onions, tomatoes and apples then add to a large pot with all other ingredients.
3.Cover, bring to the boil. Once boiling remove the lid from the pan.
4.Boil for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
5.Using a handheld stick blender, blend until smooth.
6.Carefully pour into clean, dry bottles. Seal while hot.
