Water And Sewerage Price Rise Tipped

Tasmania's economic regulator has backed the state government's water and sewerage changes in his annual review.

However he has also warned that prices are likely to keep rising under the new system.

The State Government took water and sewerage assets off local Councils nine months ago, creating three regional authorities.

The new regime pushed up household bills and the government eventually moved to cap price rises at 5 per cent in response to strong criticism.
